Flame Retardant

Flame retardant fabrics are specially manufactured or treated with chemicals to resist burning and prevent the garment catching fire when used in everyday working environments.

Please Note:
Fire retardant materials should not be confused with fire resistant materials, a fire resistant material is especially designed to resist burning and withstand heat, however, fire retardant materials are designed to burn more slowly.

Important Information:
When working with either Flame retardant or Flame resistant materials, it’s very important to remember that once you have applied any logo or branding  to either fabric method, the garment now loses its flame-retardant certificate.

TreKo are the only company to hold over 15 certifications and counting for all our FR Certified Systems for different fabrics tested in laboratory conditions to make sure our transfers are suitable for each fabric and fit for purpose.

Is your customers garment a promotional giveaway or something that has to last over 50 washes. At TreKo our main aim is to get you the right product at the right price for the budget your customer can afford whilst getting the best quality.

When it comes to the production there are many things to think about not only from our side but your customers side.

Application temperatures and pressure used when applying the final product to the garment is one of the most important but overlooked parts of the procedure.
It’s important the adhesive backer is fully melted and the correct pressure is applied when pressing the garment. Application instructions will be sent out on all orders to help the process be as easy as possible.
